Johnny Ray Smith

Johnny Ray Smith, age 62 of Dayton, passed away May 19, 2017. He was born June 4, 1954 in Harlan County, KY. He was preceded in death by his father, Herschel Smith; and brother, Wallace Smith.

John is survived by his mother, Molly Smith; daughter, Jackie (Jim) Fleming; 6 grandchildren: Jesse, Skylar, Peyton, Emma, Elle and Ashton; brothers: Hoe Smith and Tracy (Alice) Smith; sisters: Sue Noble and Gracie (Tim) Rice; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

John was a back hoe operator and enjoyed working construction. He liked hunting and fishing, but most of all John loved spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. John was a devoted son who took care of his mother for many years.
