Johnie Edmound George

Johnie Edmound "John" George, age 79, of Trotwood, passed away on January 30, 2021. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on August 14, 1941, the son of the late Edmound and Virginia George.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Eric; sister, Beverly June George; and brothers, Ronny George and William George.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Zona P. George; children, Mark A. (Kathy) George, Tina M. (Carl, Jr.) Dunkle and Teresa L. Loughman; grandchildren, Amanda "Minda", Markie, Megan, Casaundra, Tiffany, Faith, Kristine and Destiny; great grandchildren, Bryson, Aiden, Mark, Jr., Graci Mae, Graeson, Elias, Michael, Gabriel, Owen and Isabella; siblings, Wanda Stevenson, Larry George, Jimmy George and Teresa George; and many other loving family and friends.

He retired from McCally, after 27 years of employment as a Polisher/Grinder. He was a former member of the Boilermaker Union for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on the house and lending a helping hand to others in need. John was the most loving man, who was very reliable and treated everyone with respect and kindness. He dedicated his life to his wife and family. He was deeply loved by everyone and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to SICSA, 8172 Washington Church Rd., Washington Township, OH 45458 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
