John F. Woodbury Jr., affectionately known as "Big John," passed away on February 16, 2025, in Kettering, Ohio. Born on April 3, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, he was a beloved presence in the lives of many. John was a proud graduate of Fairmont High School, class of 1972, and went on to have a fulfilling career as a welder, a profession that showcased his dedication and skill.

A man of many admirable qualities, John was known for his kindness, loving nature, and a great sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. His zest for life was evident in his hobbies, which included fishing and enjoying the thrill of remote control cars, pursuits that often brought him camaraderie with friends and family.

John is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Terri Woodbury; his brother, Walter Woodbury; his brother-in-law, Doug Striebel, and his wife, Janet; his dear aunt, Helen; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. He also leaves behind his cherished puppy, Seth, a testament to his nurturing spirit.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Leatrice Woodbury, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion that defined his life.
