John L. Walker

John L. Walker, age 60 of Huber Heights, was called Home on March 20, 2017. He was born September 30, 1956 in Baltimore, MD to the late Herbert Rogers and Doris (Walker) Vaughn. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lossie B. Walker.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Lia N. (Trevor Daniels) Walker; former wife, Patricia Walker; grandchildren, Mya, Laila and Hayden Walker; siblings, Sabrina, James, George, Thellie Chamblee, Donta' Randoff and LaKisha; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

John served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a Free Mason and a member of American Legion Post 776 in Riverside, OH. John was an avid hat and cane collector.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9-10 AM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel where a memorial service will begin at 10 AM. John will be inurned at Dayton National Cemetery with military honors at a later date.
