John James Voisard, also referred to as Jim or the Tiger, age 86, of Dayton, passed away on February 23, 2023. He was born on October 11, 1936 to the late James H. Voisard and Cecil Stump.
He served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. He was also a life-long blood donor at the Community Blood Center in Dayton. He was a very proud member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He was also a proud grandpa and enjoyed looking after his grandchildren. He was a life-long lover of dance, especially 40's swing dancing and 50's rock 'n roll, and he even won several dance competitions. He will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter B. (Midge) Voisard, Donald L. (Judy) Voisard and Robert H. Voisard; and his sister, Margaret Voisard.
He will be remembered by his son, James (Trish) Voisard; grandchildren: Alexis and Patrick; a host of nieces and nephews, including his niece, Donna (Ed) Bisch, who was like a sister; and many extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30pm. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Willow View Cemetery.
