John W. Stroud, also known as Buck, passed away on October 22, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center after a long battle with illness. He was born in Alabama on June 18, 1942 to Mr. Theodore Stroud and Mrs. Allie Cox Stroud.
His family and close acquaintances call him, "Buck". He is a retired United States Air Force Veteran with over 25 years of service.
John loved to play cards, work crossword puzzles, bowling, enjoyed cookouts, supported charities and just enjoyed his time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by Mr. William Lodge Stroud, Mr. J.T. Stroud, Mr. Jesse Lee Stroud, Mr. Leroy Stroud and Mrs. Margaret Webb Stroud, all of Alabama.
He is survived by Mrs. Elizabeth Tinsley Stroud, Ms. Alice Stroud both of Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Leffie Stroud of Memphis, Tennessee and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all services will have to be postponed. This will be a private gathering for Mr. Stroud's family and some of his close friends who had the opportunity to spend time with him in the state of Ohio where he lived for many years.
