John E. Shelton, 87, of Eaton, passed away on June 22, 2018.
He was born on August 28, 1930 to James and Ollie (Hignite) Shelton in Breathitt County, KY.
John worked in maintenance for food manufacturers and as a farmer in Preble County.
On June 23, 1956, he married Betty J Shelton (Muncy). John and Betty J made Eaton their home.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Alexandria.
John is survived by his loving Wife of 62 years, Betty J; Niece, Lisa Linton; Nephew, Joseph Antku, Jr.; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Son, John E. Shelton, Jr.; his Parents; 4 Sisters; and 7 Brothers.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 29, 2018, 11:30 am at Calvary Baptist Church (3613 Winston Ln, West Alexandria, 45381). Services will follow at 1:00 pm. Internment immediately after at Sugar Grove Cemetery (1251 State Route 503 North, West Alexandria, 45381).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church or Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420)
