John Henry Schroeder

John "Hank" Henry Schroeder, 66, of Dayton, passed away as the result of a stroke on January 14, 2017.
He was born on February 3, 1950 to the late Simon and Joan (Terwilliger) Schroeder in Dayton, OH.
Hank served in the United States Navy on a submarine during the Vietnam War.
Hank is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda (Krapf); son, Thomas (Heather) Schroeder; daughter, Sarah (Matthew) Knouff; grandchildren, Porter, Evan, Ella, and Sage; siblings, Deb (Tony), Rick (Sue), Robin (Dave), Jill (Kurt), Sally (Mark), Alan (Kim), Julie (Jeff), and Joe (Dawn), as well as many other family and friends.
Hank enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, chatting with his friends at the VFW, playing golf, fishing, and just being the life of the party!
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm and a funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439. Burial will immediately follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
