SAUER, John "Jack" Carl, 81, of Kettering, OH passed away Tuesday June 14, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Regina Sauer. Survivors include his wife, Patricia (nee: Borgerding) Sauer; daughters, Jackie (Mark) Domin, Jerri (Dave) Chaney, and Jenni (Bill) Crotty; grandchildren, Eric, Cory, and Ryan Domin, Lucas and Alison Chaney, and Erin, Sara, and Abby Crotty, numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jack was born and raised in Dayton, OH. He attended Holy Family Elementary, Chaminade High School (class of 1947), and The University of Dayton. He retired from Standard Register after 36 years. Jack served his country and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, member of VFW Post 9927, Knights of Columbus (Council 500), Flyers Club and St. Charles Parish. Jack's hobbies included trains, sports, and his grandchildren.
Visitation is Saturday June 18, 2011 from 10am to 11:30am with funeral mass following at 11:30am at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd, Kettering, OH 45429.
Entombment is at Calvary Cemetery.
