John S. Osborne

Osborne, John S., age 71 of Columbus, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2008 at Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born in Indianapolis, IN in 1937, the son of the late Roselle E. Rush. John entered the National Guard in 1955 and then entered active duty in 1956. He served two tours in Vietnam and received the Purple Heart. He is survived by his sons, Jeffery Osborne of Columbus, OH, Ricardo (Angela) Osborne of Maryland; daughter, Valenda Osborne of Columbus, OH; and grandchildren, Stephen, Patience, Aaron, Tyler, Taylor, Kaylin, & Chloe. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, August 18, 2008 at Dayton National Cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH.
