Robertson, John W., age 70, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born December 13, 1937 in Claiborne County, Tennessee, the son of the late Oscar Esau and Sallie (Duncan) Robertson. He retired from Toolcraft Products, Inc., in Dayton, Ohio after 36 years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Belle Robertson, Rosie Mae Minton, Eula Pearl Turner; and two brothers, Paul Ray Robertson and Jimmy Dale Robertson. Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Proaps of Dickson, TN, two sons, John Robertson of Xenia and Steve Hardway of Greensboro, NC; three brothers, Jerry Lee (Chris) Robertson of Dayton, OH, James Thornie (Opal) Robertson of Arcanum, OH, and Verlin Oscar (Cindy) Robertson of Tipp City, OH; six sisters, Gertrude (Orville) Brantley, Cumberland Gap, TN, Irene (Kenneth) Wood of Covington, OH, Dora (Mack) Cupp of New Carlisle, OH, Betty (Robert Martin) Vanover of Celina, OH, Linda (Otto) Durst of New Carlisle, OH, Dianne (Bobby) Wilson of Middlesboro, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends who loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed by many. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, February 8, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Interment will follow at Willowview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 9 AM until the time of services.
