John Reed

REED, John H., 89, of Dayton, passed away May 17, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marjorie Reed and his sister, Ruth Seman. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Esther; daughters, Marjorie Wirth, Jacqueline Parker and her husband Ray, Deborah Ailabouni; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. John was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, V.F.W. Post #9927, John W. Durst Masonic Lodge #716 F&AM and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. He retired from NCR after almost 40 years of service. John was an avid euchre player, enjoyed sports and bowling. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, May 20, 2004 at Woodland Mausoleum 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until time of services at the mausoleum. Pastor Charles W. Hemming will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to Otterbein United Methodist Church.
