RAHN, John E., age 88 passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton.
John was born in Dansk, Germany and moved to Dayton,OH in the mid 1920's.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eric and Frieda Rahn; sons, Bruce and Doug Rahn; and brother-in-law, Jim Fridley.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Bellman Aker – Rahn, sister, Jean Fridley; niece, Karyn (David) Olmsted; nephew, Ron Fridley; sister-in-law, Irma (Rolland) Beech; step-children, Ange (Jim) Morris, Chuck (Sue) Aker, David (Marilyn) Aker, and Lori Aker (Michael Alexander); 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
John graduated from Roosevelt High School class of 1940. He retired from NCR and Stebbins High School. He also was a charter member of The NCR Country Club and was a 50 year Mason. He was a WWII veteran and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
A gathering of friends will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – South, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
