John Pierce

PIERCE, John A., 80, of Trotwood passed away Friday July 17, 2009 at Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He is preceded in death by his parents Dallas and Grace Pierce; brothers Lester Pierce and George Pierce; sisters Janet Bourdages and Eloise Peterson. John is survived by his sons Richard (Patricia) Pierce and Daniel Pierce; daughter Karen (Larry) Hall; 6 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brothers Vernon (Fran) Pierce, of AZ and Jim Pierce, of TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends, including best friend Peggy Christy. He worked several jobs as a plastics engineer. John enjoyed being a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid amateur astronomer. Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Monday July 20, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM prior to services at the funeral home.
