Age 62, of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at his home after an extended illness.
John was born February 6, 1944 in Vandalia, Illinois to John Walker & Eleanor Lois (Forbes) Hatfield, who have preceded him in death.
John is survived by his partner and soul-mate of the past 24 years, Martha F. Weirauch of Huber Heights; one daughter, Michele Anne & John Robinson of Canyon, Texas; one son, John Walker Daniel & Dani Hatfield of Brewton, Alabama; step-mother, Wilma B. Hatfield of Norris City, Illinois; step-brother, Allen Ray & Shirley Gerdes of Montour Falls, New York; four grandchildren, McKalah Daniele Hatfield Robinson, Emily Rebekah Hatfield, Natalie Ruth Hatfield and John Walker Danny Hatfield.
John was a life-member of the V.F.W. Post #3283 in Huber Heights, life-member of the American Legion Post #1141 in New Haven, Illinois, a member of Montgomery County Voiture Locale #34 40 et 8, and AMVETS Post #464.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton with V.F.W. honors to be presented at 7:00 p.m. Interment will occur on Monday in Upchurch Cemetery, Jamestown, Tennessee.
If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of John to the American Cancer Society.
