John R. Osborne, age 81 of Beavercreek, OH passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born April 20, 1940 in Xenia, Ohio to Paul and Louise (Ault) Osborne. He married Patricia Pennington on March 19, 1966 in Xenia, OH.
John was an avid bowler, loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia; two daughters, Lorie L. Stover and Vicki L. (Joseph) Shock; three grandchildren, Matthew Shock, Cimia Shock and Nikki Sextro; two great grandchildren, AJ and Makenna Rayne; two brothers, Thomas (Lesley) and Greg Osborne; a sister, Sharon Leighly; and numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; Patricia's parents, William and Lillian Pennington; a son, Ronald Cowburn; a brother, Joseph Osborne; three sisters, Linda, Kathy and Barbara; and a son in law, Robert Stover.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. John will be laid to rest following the services at Hillgrove Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4555 Lake Forest Dr # 396, Blue Ash, OH 45242.
