John Myers, Sr

MYERS, John W., Sr., 85, of Dayton passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009. He is preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Myers; parents Harry and Lucille Myers; and brother Richard Myers. John is survived by his children Shirley (Charles) Oney, John W. (Rhonda) Myers, Jr., Marilyn Hartz, Robert (Brenda) Myers, Tommy Myers, Charles (Rhonda) Myers, and Melissa (Gary) DiStefano; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends, including special sisters Betty (Paul) Raines and Bink (Mason) Powers and beloved cat Ben. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army with service in WWII where he received 3 bronze stars, good conduct medal and WWII victory metal. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Thursday February 19, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30AM prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow service at Calvary Cemetery.
