John "Bill" Moss, age 87, of Kettering passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, July 7, 2013.
Bill was born on May 19, 1926 in Mt. Sterling, KY to the late James & Charlotte Moss.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Mariana Moss. Bill is survived by his sons, Dan (Nanette) Moss and Jerry (Lavonne) Moss; grandchildren, Daniel (Paula) Trainer, Jeremiah (Amanda) Trainer, Michael Middlecamp, Ann (Edward) Moss-Stang, John Moss and Todd Moss; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 29th Infantry Regiment.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 12, 2013 from 9:30 am-11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
