John L. Montgomery, 79, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, October 7th, 2022. He was born February 21, 1943, in Dayton to the late John W. and Ona L. (Staggs) Montgomery.
John graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1961. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends and family. He worked at General Motors and retired after 36 years. After retirement, he continued working at Sinclair College as a security officer for 13 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his wife of 58 years, Judy Montgomery; children, Gregg (Debbie) Montgomery, Curtis (Angel) Montgomery, and Jennifer (Jody) Montgomery; grandchildren, Chad, Lena Marie (Andrew), Allison, and Carson; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Madison; a brother, Darrell (Beth) Montgomery; and many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 21st, 2022, beginning at 12:00pm in the Mausoleum at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle 5 Points Road, Centerville, Ohio 45458.
