John Martin
November 23, 1938 — July 13, 2013
John Michael Martin, age 74 of Dayton, OH passed away Saturday July 13, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara (Wolfe) Martin; parents Harold T. Martin and Jean (Pryse) Martin.
He is survived by 2 sisters Jean E. Beirise and Kathryn Huggins; 3 children, Susan Hopson, Mick Martin, and Elizabeth Ann Martin. Grandchildren Gavin, Lauren and Colin Hopson and John Thomas Dedrick, numerous nieces, nephews and special friend Dee Kierce.
John was employed at Lenz Co; a U.S. Marine and member of VFW post 2800.
A gathering of friends will be held Sunday afternoon July 21, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering branch.
A memorial service will be held at the Dayton National V.A. Cemetery Monday July 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
Donations may be made in John's name to the American Heart Association or the Veterans.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
