John Mantle

Mantle, John J., age 81, of Dayton passed away on Friday, May 2, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born August 11, 1926 in Portsmouth, OH the son of Thomas B. & Marcella (Myers) Mantle. John was considered by his brothers and family to be wise to the ways of God. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judith Romer; brothers, George, Leo (Kate), & Dan Mantle; sister-in-law, Wanda Mantle. Survivors include his brothers, Paul (Barbara) of California, David (Wilma) of Vandalia, Ben of Fairborn, Sam (Rosalie) of New Jersey, Tom (Frances) of New Jersey, & Abel (Mara) of Dayton; sisters-in-law Nadine & Athene Mantle; brother-in-law, Leroy Romer; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9-11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH.
