John M. Williams

Williams, John M., age 80, of Kettering, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. John was a United States Marine Corps Veteran proudly serving during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors with over 44 years of service and was a member of the Antique Car Club.

John is survived by his wife of 29 years: Janida; son and daughter-in-law: Steven (Jennifer) Williams; three step sons: John King, Mike (Sandy) King, Chuck King; 3 grandchildren: Stephanie & Justin Williams, Carisma McVicker; 2 great grandchildren: Talon & Preston; brother and sister-in-law: Donald F. (Tattie) Williams; sister and brother-in-law: Marianne L. (Dale) Cooley; cousins: Jerry Tompkins & Bobby Williams; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Leona M. Williams; son: Daniel T. Williams; and parents: John F. & Mabel (Mumma) Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow the service at Miami Cemetery in Corwin, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christian Children's Fund in memory of John.
