John M."Jack" Beaven

On September 8, Jack Mahlon Beaven, 78, beloved husband and best friend of Janet, survived also by daughters Jen Beaven (Michael) Leibow and Tina Beaven (Chris) Pallace of Rochester, New York and Julie Beaven (Ronald) Maddocks of Fort Collins, Colorado, sister Nancie J. Beaven and aunt Marion J. Beaven of Guilford, Connecticut, grandchildren Jessi, Roger, Brittany, Jacob, Joey, Shannon, Mary, Melissa and Zachary Maddocks of Fort Collins, Colorado and Rogan Pallace of Rochester, New York. A graduate of Hamilton College, Jack retired as Sales Promotion Manager of Standard Register. During his 17 year battle against prostate cancer, Jack was a strong advocate for the education of cancer patients and research for a cure. The family much appreciates the support of close friends and the help of Hospice of Dayton. Services will be private.
