Luscaleet, John "Jake", age 86, of Huber Heights, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 20, 1921 in Cleveland, OH, the son of James & Margaret (Magill) Luscaleet. Jake was a veteran of WWII and also the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 950 in Vandalia, OH. He was the owner and President of Luscaleet Leasing and also Eastern Tank Lines. After retirement he worked for CompuNet Clinical Labs as a courier for 15 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale Luscaleet and his sister, Marion Piatt. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; children, Jack (Mary) Luscaleet of Tipp City, Pamela (Danny) Lang of Casstown, & Joyce (Ron) Penix of Greenfield, IN; grandchildren, Bob J. "B.J." Joseph, Jill Luscaleet, Jeff Luscaleet, Jason Penix, and Justin Penix; great grandchildren, Abby Joseph-Adkins, Colton Joseph; sister Carolyn Myers; his grandpuppy, Wiggles; special friends, the Pierson Family; and many other relatives and friends. A Memorial service will be held at 6 PM on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 PM until the time of services. Burial will be held at Glen Haven at a later date.
