John David Lloyd, age 77, of Englewood, passed away on March 26, 2024. He was born on September 29, 1946 to the late Martha Templeton.
He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a collector of Budweister Beersteins and HotWheels, and he enjoyed spending time at home with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his mother, John was preceded in death by his step-father, Clarence Lloyd; his siblings: Raymond Lloyd, Thomas Lloyd, and Edith Sleepy; and his uncle Bud, who also helped to raise him.
Left to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of almost 54 years, Brenda Lloyd; his son: Randy (Kimberly) Lloyd; grandchildren: Travis and Addison; siblings: Gary Lloyd (Rachel) and Sheila (Ralph) Barga; a host of nieces and nephews; extended family: Terren, Tytus, Bella, and Brady; and many more family and good friends.
A visitation will be held from 9:30am to 10:30am on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 10:30am. Following the service, John will be laid to rest with military honors at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville, Ohio.
