John A. Leopard, a beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on November 9 2024, in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Born on August 14, 1958, John embraced life with a vibrant spirit and a captivating personality that endeared him to all who knew him.
John had a diverse array of interests that brought joy and fulfillment to his life. He was an avid puzzle enthusiast, spending hours immersed in sudoku and 3D puzzles. His creative talents also found expression in building intricate models, which showcased his meticulous attention to detail and passion for craftsmanship. Yet, it was in the time spent with his family, particularly his cherished grandchildren, that John found his greatest happiness.
John leaves behind his children, Michelle Leopard and Amy (Chris) Miller, who were a source of pride for him. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Samantha, Jasmine, Millie, Aaron, Courtney, and Taylor, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. Additionally, John is survived by four great-grandchildren, extending his love and presence to a new generation.
He was a devoted brother to his siblings: Linda Buckingham, Karen (William) Dysert, Mary (Jerry) Vagedes, Nancy (Scott) Froning, Kevin Leopard and numerous nieces and nephews, with whom he shared a close bond. John navigated life with the support of those he loved, building meaningful connections and memories that will be cherished forever.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ann and John J. Leopard, whose influence shaped him into the man he became and his brothers-in-law, Irvin Buckingham, Mike Haas, and Mark Haas, who played significant roles in his life.
As we honor John A. Leopard’s memory, we reflect on the joy he brought to our lives and the lasting impact he leaves behind. His warmth and kindness will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him, and his spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
