John Lee Rodgers, Sr.
Age 55, formerly of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord August 8, 2007 in Seattle, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore M. Rodgers & Mary L. Rodgers; his brothers, James T. Rodgers & Richard N. Rodgers; and by his companion, Opal Rodgers.
John is survived by his sons, John Lee Rodgers, Jr. & Buck Edward Rodgers; their mother Betty, all of Dayton; his brothers and sisters, M. Lorraine Rodgers of California, B. Gayle Adkins & her husband, Larry, of Dayton, Everett H. Rodgers of Dayton, Linda S. Fryman & her husband, Tom, of Bellbrook, Frank J. Rodgers of Kentucky, Wayne R. Rodgers of Dayton, and Rhonda A. Rodgers of Huber Heights; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
John was known as a lifelong heavy demolition worker, recycler and for his hearty laugh and generosity. His greatest achievement was the birth of his two sons.
His family will be honoring his memory from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at VFW Post 3283 (5047 Nebraska Ave. in Huber Heights) on Saturday, November 24, 2007.
