John Laws
August 20, 1917 — May 21, 2015
LAWS, John T., age 97, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at his home in Kettering. John is preceded in death by his parents, Terrance and Elizabeth (Connors) Laws, his first wife, Mary Catherine Laws, and 2 siblings, Rosemary and Robert.
He bravely served in the United States Navy, during WWII coming home to a career in commercial heating and air conditioning. He attended Christian Tabernacle for many years, and in his later years worshipped at the Living Word Church.
John is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mildred (Spencer) Laws; sister, Anne Geisige; children, Gerry and Ellen Laws, Sharon and Joe Loftus, and Ken and Ava Laws; step-children, Michael and Cindy Hannah, Marla and Glen Farmer, and Michael and Kim Walsh. He also leaves many precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 with a service following at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, with Rev. Pat Murray officiating. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle.
