John L. Fegel, Sr.
Age 85, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at the Dayton VA Hospital.
John was preceded in death by two wives, Birdie Fegel & Clara Fegel; and by one son, Frank Fegel.
John is survived by three daughters, Anna, Mable & Nancy; five sons, John Jr, Steve, Kenneth, Jerry & Carl; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and by his extended family & many good friends.
John was a U. S. Army veteran having served during WW II and he was the recipient of the Bronze Star. He retired from Chrysler with 30 years of service and was a NAO officer with the Dayton Police Department.
The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 6, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home with Rev. Bobbie Predmore officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Dayton National Cemetery.
