John Joseph Koehnen

KOEHNEN, John J., 78, of Kettering, died February 7. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Marie Koehnen. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Adele, his step-daughter, Elaine Schweller Snyder and her husband, Chip Snyder, of Sidney, and his brother, Jerome (Jacqueline) of Kettering, and many nieces and nephews. He graduated from Chaminade High School and attended the University of Dayton for two years. He served in the US Army, seeing action in the Korean War. He retired after more than 40 years as an associate with Federated Department Stores. A Memorial Mass will be held at noon Friday Feb. 13, at St Albert the Great Church (3033 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429). Friends may call one hour before the service. Loving gratitude to all the personnel at Southview Dialysis; the staff, nurses, and everyone at Grandview Hospital and Crestview Manor; and the visiting nurses of Hospice Care. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lehman Catholic High School, Sidney, Ohio, or your favorite charity.
