John "Jj" Leen
June 25, 1944 — March 14, 2015
John "JJ" Leen, age 70 of Kettering, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Heartland of Kettering. He was born June 25, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio the son of John and Virginia Leen. John graduated from Chaminade High School in 1962 and attended the School of Dayton Art Institute. He was a devout Roman Catholic who was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. John was an avid gardener and took great pride in his most recent artistic endeavor which was hat making.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
JJ is survived by his girlfriend, Karol Swanson; a brother, Ed (Dr. Susan Eklund-Leen) Leen; and a sister, Jane (Ken) Leen-Johnson. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
A memorial service will be held, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home-South Chapel. A gathering will be from 1:30 pm until time of service at the funeral home. www.newcomerdayton.com
