John P. Hogan

John P. Hogan, age 84 of Miami Twp., passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. He was born on December 16, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio to the late John and Geneva Hogan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Hogan; sister, Sharon Mills; two nephews, James Hogan and Johnny Hogan.
John is survived by his sister, Karen Rhoton; three nieces; Janet Marie (Jesse) Zapata, Michelle Mills, and Melissa (Barry) Sandlin; nephew, Greg (J.) Mills. He is also survived by many other extended family and friends.
He served in the Army from 1961-1963 and later retired from Chrysler. John enjoyed gardening, shopping, watching cooking shows and classic movies. In his younger years, he loved spending time traveling and going to dinner with his friends. John is well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on February 1, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home-South Chapel located at 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439. Funeral Service will be officiated at 11:00 am. John's final resting place will be at David's Cemetery located at 4600 Mad River Rd, Dayton, OH 45429.
