John Michael Hilton, age 68 of Dayton, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at V.A. Medical Center-Hospice. He was born April 30, 1948 in Cedar Rapids, IA the son of the late Donald and Helen Hilton.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ella Cooney.
John is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lynda; two sons, Jason (Stephanie) Hilton, Joel (Melanie) Hilton; sister, Mary Kim (Dan) Menke; brother, Mark (Connie) Hilton; five grandchildren, Robert, Jared, Alice, Isabelle, and Stephen.
John served in the US Navy, retired from the US Postal Service and was a graduate of University of Dayton. He was an ambitious photographer, faithful spouse, loving father, cherished grandfather. John will be deeply missed by his sister and brother, as well as many dear friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Memorial Service at 1:00 pm followed by burial at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery (8135 N Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH 45414). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SICSA.
