BURTON, John H.
Age 89, passed away August 25, 2015. He was born June 21, 1926 in Carter, KY to the late, James and Hattie Burton. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Eliza "Buttons" Burton; step-sister, Annie; and two step-brothers, Dennis and Willard.
He is survived by his sons, John (Sherry) Burton, Herbert (Colleen) Burton, and Dennis (Cheryl) Burton; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
John proudly served in the United States Army during WWII; 29 division. He was past commander of the VFW on Wadsworth and participated with the military honor guard rifle salute with the American Legion. John was also a 32nd degree mason in the West Carrollton lodge. He retired after over 30 years of service from General Motors.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Interment to follow at Willow View Cemetery.
