John Franklin Grubb

August 20, 1940 — December 19, 2021

John Franklin Grubb, age 81, of Dayton, passed away on December 19, 2021. He was born in Harriman, Tennessee, on August 20, 1940, the son of the late Corliss and Pauline Grubb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Bill Grubb.

John is survived by his loving twin children, Adam Grubb and Alison (Martin Alaniz) Grubb; sister, Sue (Charles) Watson; niece and nephew, Lori Watson-Twerak and Jeff Watson; and many other loving family and friends.

He proudly served his country by serving in the United States Air Force. He was a member of AMVets Post 24, the American Legion Post 619 and attended the Beavercreek Moose Lodge for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, once bowling with the PBA Tour and in 1991 he was elected to the Dayton Bowling Hall of Fame. John also enjoyed time golfing, fishing and having a few drinks with his Veteran buddies. His Dayton Bowling "family" meant the world to him and he treasured those memories throughout the years. John was a very proud Patriot and supported a variety of military organizations and law enforcement groups. He was also a sports fan, who loved to cheer on his L.A. Dodgers and the Tennessee Vols. Facebookng with friends was also a favorite way for him to keep in touch with friends.

Following John's wishes, no services will be held at this time.
