John A. Greschl, age 96 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020 in Naples, FL. He was born November 17, 1923 in Bay City, Michigan, the son of the late Andrew and Magdalen Greschl.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth Greschl; and his 8 siblings.
John is survived by his children, Gerald (Dianne) Greschl, Kay M. (Charles "Pete") Smith; grandchildren, Allison (Brandon) Wilson, Max (Brooklynne) Greschl, Melissa (Johnny) Burtoft, Miles (Emily) Greschl; 2 great grandchildren, Paul and John Wilson; as well as many other family members and friends.
John is a WWII veteran who served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed golfing in his free time and spending time with his family.
Due to the current events surrounding COVID-19, private family services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, Dayton, OH.
