John Joseph Greenwood, age 57 of Dayton, Ohio passed away suddenly on March 28, 2020 due to a Cardiac event. John was born on April 30, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio to Joseph E. Greenwood and Martha (Alexander) Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by his father; Joseph E. Greenwood, paternal grandparents; Joseph and Mary Greenwood, maternal grandparents; R. Edwin Alexander, Charles and Virginia Alexander Eckhardt.
He is survived by his mother; Martha (Alexander) Greenwood, mother of his children; Susie Guihan Greenwood, his children; Kristen Dickson (Chad), Joseph M. Greenwood (Lindsay), Molly E. Shellabarger (Grant), grandchildren whom he adored; Jane and Rose Dickson, Luke Shellabarger, Isabella, London, and Finley Wishum, brother; Matthew Greenwood and sister; Ann Greenwood, He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.
John graduated from Archbishop Alter High School, class of 1980 and Morehead State University in 1984. He spent his entire working career in the television industry and was currently employed by Fox-45. John has been an avid golfer and was a member of the golf team in high school and college.
