John Gentry

GENTRY, John R. Jr., 54, of Arcanum, formerly of Trotwood, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Lenora Gentry. John is survived by his daughter Megan Gentry; son Ian Gentry; sisters Linda Baker and Connie (Donnie) Burns; ex-wife Becci; nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was a founding employee at Dayton Freight Lines where he was employed for 27 years. John was a great father who loved the outdoors and life in general. His smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held 6:00PM Friday May 9, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00PM Friday at the funeral home prior to services. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Local Chapters of AA.
