John William "Bill" Frame, age 81 of New Carlisle, passed away in his sleep on July 27, 2012 after a brave fight with cancer. He was born May 29, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio to the late John "Ray" and Bessie Frame. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Michael Frame; and brother, Donald Frame.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis (Geiger) Frame; daughter and son-in-law: Lori and Joe Nelson; son and daughter-in-law: Chris and Misty Frame; 7 grandchildren: Will (Danielle) Nelson, Amanda Frame, John Thompson, Shauna Thompson, Mike Frame, Myranda Nelson and Alexandra Frame; 3 great grandchildren: Madison, Jordan and Bailey; brother, James Frame; sister, Barbara (Mel) Rodney; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from General Motors after 28 years of service and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Elks Club # 58 on Troy Pike. Bill will always be remembered for his sense of humor, for his love for travelling and his time spent with Mandi.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 and 9:30-10:30 am on Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday. Pastors Terry Bruns and Roger Phillips co-officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
