John F. Wilson Sr.

John F. Wilson Sr., age 88, of Bellbrook passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015.
John was a member of Salem Church of God in Clayton. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired from General Motors in 1983 after nearly 40 years of service. John was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. His greatest joys were his family, University of Dayton basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.
John was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Paula K. (Gammon) Wilson and his parents, Lucien & Mary Helen Wilson.
He is survived by his five children and their spouses: Laura Beth (Jay) Rigsby, Karen Kay (Stephen) Archbold, John Frederick (Kimberlee) Wilson Jr., Lois Elizabeth (Murray) Clark, Kenneth Paul (April) Wilson; grandchildren and their spouses: Jayson M. (Katie) Rigsby, Jennifer B. (George) Wiley, John P. (Jenny) Rigsby, Amber K. (Beau) Brown, Chloe K. Brattain, Jessica N. Wilson, Justin Lipson, Trevor Lipson, Tay Lipson, Charity L. (Ryan) Gerig, Nicholas J. Crumbley, Emily E. Clark, Parker K. Wilson, Jackson C. Wilson; great grandchild: Miles, Oscar, June and Calvin Wiley and Kelsey Gerig; sister, Phyllis Battigaglia and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 1:30-3:30pm at Salem Church of God, 6500 Southway Road, Clayton, Ohio 45315. The funeral service will follow at 3:30pm. Interment will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Liver Foundation (P.O. Box 36085 Indianapolis, IN 46236-0085).
