John F. Quinn, age 78, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016.
If you knew John, you knew his smile.
Dr. Quinn taught and mentored generations of students in his nearly 40 years as a professor in the University of Dayton philosophy department, business and law schools. A renaissance man, attorney, author and patron of the arts, John journeyed to the four corners of the globe, often with his loving wife Grace.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Matthew Quinn, Gregory Shuttleworth, Lori Wolcott and Heidi Jacobs, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many friends.
The family will host a memorial gathering on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm, which will be followed by a service at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A social gathering will follow at John and Grace's home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
