John F. Malone

MALONE, John F., age 81, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008 at Friendship Village after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Virginia Malone and sister, Mary Virginia Cleary. John is survived by his children, Connie Malone, Michael Malone, Kathleen Lutkemeier, Colleen Malone, Matthew Malone, Timothy Malone, and Julie Oxley; siblings, Norman Malone and Anne Luebrecht, 16 grandchildren, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Chaminade High School and the University of Dayton. He was also a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and a longtime member of Corpus Christi Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Precious Blood Church, 4961 Salem Ave., Dayton. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
