John Engel

ENGEL, John V. 61, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by dad, James Engel (1991). Survived by wife of 36 years Carol (Raterman), son Joe, daughter Janelle and husband Matt Leonard, grandson Elliot, mother Dorothy, and brother Bill (Sue). Employed by the City of Dayton for 37 years. Visitation Monday, June 1, 5–8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Mass to be held at 10am, Tuesday, June 2 at St. Helen. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
