John "Rod" Ellis

It is with great sadness, that we announce the death of our beloved son, and brother, Rod Ellis, on March 20, 2022.

Rod is survived by his mother, Carolyn Ellis of Avon Park, FL; sisters, Denise Ellis of Denver, CO and Debbie Dalen (Ellis) and her son, Kai Dalen of Calgary AB; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike D. Ellis (2018) and brother, Mike N. Ellis (1980).

Rod was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1963 and graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1981. He was employed at Heraeus for the last eight years.

The political climate and pandemic affected him tremendously as he tried navigate his way through both in an already troubled world. He missed his brother, Mike, profoundly, never quite accepting his death at such a young age.

The family has chosen to grieve in private.
