John D. Ellis, age 56 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born April 26, 1965 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Wayne and Mary Ellis.
John was a wonderful man who was a loving husband and step-father. He was a retired U.S. Navy rescuer. John had currently been employed with Ingersoll Rand in Dayton. He liked to race 4-wheelers, ride sandrails and go boating. He was a jack-of-all trades and could build and fix anything. John was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister.
John will be missed by his loving wife, Rebecca; step-children, Georgetta Murphy, Rachael (Walter) Roberts and Andrew English; grandchildren, Aaron Fouch, Cassie Fouch, Cody Fouch, Alexis Roberts, Sidney Adams and Savannah Adams; great grandchildren, Chase Fouch, Camdyn Fouch, Dawson Fouch; brother, Daniel (Sandra) Ellis; sister, Deb (Steve) Rohde; many nieces and a nephew; and many many friends.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. at the Spaulding Road Church of God (Temporary Site), 2141 Harshman Road, Dayton. Arrangements by Newcomer North Chapel.
