John W. Edgington, age 82 of Fairborn, OH passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his home. He was born March 4, 1939 in West Jefferson, Ohio to Ray and Emma (Hasting) Edgington. He married Pauline Miniard on February 1, 1969 in Tennessee.
John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pauline; two sons, Mandel (Angie) and Michael Montgomery; three daughters, Johnna (Rafael) Edgington, Billie Ann (Dan) Franklin and Tina (Grumpy) Kelly; nine grandchildren, Wyatt, Wes, Johnny, Seairrah, Zachariah, Brandon, Nathan, Beth and Melody; eight great grandchildren, Mandy Jo, Chloe, Isaac, Lori, Hillary, Harmony, Krue and Morgan; a sister, Bernice Machabee; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Eloise, Frank, Cy, Dorothy Ann and Gertrude.
John worked at Wright Patterson AFB for many years and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He loved to farm and garden. John was a great provider for his family. He always had "projects" going outside and built the house his family lived in with his own two hands. John loved his dog Tootsie and his Cleveland Browns. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Private Services for John will be held at the convenience of the family. He will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, OH after full military honors.
