John E. Swigert

John E. Swigert, 65, of New Carlisle, passed away, Friday, November 16th.
He was born in Dayton, OH, October 18, 1947 to Harley and Nora Swigert. John graduated from Fairmont High School and joined the Marines serving his country in the Vietnam War earning a multitude of metals including The Purple Heart.
He worked for WPAFB for many years as a contract painter then personal trainer. John was a man of many talents including architecture, construction, carpentry, artistry/painting and much more. He was a member of VFW POST 9684.
He was survived by his daughter Chantel Montgomery (Swigert) , sisters Barbara Harrison, Norma Lawson, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral arrangements will be held 12:30-1:30pm November 21st at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio. Burial will follow in Dayton National Cemetery 4100 W. Third St., Dayton, Ohio.
