John T. DeClark, age 67 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away after an extended illness on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born on August 12, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Ruth DeClark.
John is survived by his brother, Dan (Lynn nee Gajus) DeClark and his sister, Robin DeClark. He is also survived by numerous friends and loved ones.
John was a 1972 graduate of Centerville High School. He then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati. After graduation he became a sales representative for Pfaltzgraff; covering southern Ohio, Kentucky, and southern Indiana.
He came into the family business (DeClark's Card and Gift Shop - Town and Country Center) in 1985. At his passing, he was the owner and operator of the store.
John had "sales" in his blood. He was blessed to have a successful career in sales. He loved DeClark's Card and Gift Shop. He also served on many franchisee communities for Hallmark and other sales related groups.
John loved the beach and vacationed at the beach whenever possible. His favorite pastime was being with his friends and loved ones. He will be missed by all.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 901 East Whipp Road Dayton, Ohio 45459.
