John L. Crowley, age 86 of London, Ohio passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at Bluebird Retirement Village in London. He was born August 7, 1932 in Marysville, Ohio. He later married Carole Palen.
John was a gifted with great intelligence that provided him with the foundation to become a skilled mechanical engineer. John could make anything that he put is mind and hands to. Albeit, special tools and parts for Craftsman Tools and Eureka Vacuum Sweeper Company to digging out and building a complete basement in his home. John also enjoyed spending the day fishing with his family and friends at his niece's farm pond and at Caesar's Creek. Later, when John became a resident at Bluebird Retirement Village, he would dazzle the residents with his ability to master through "Genius-Level" crossword puzzles.
Along with his wife Carole, John is survived by niece, Dana (George Robert) Schutte of South Charleston, Ohio; nephew, Greg (Keya) Williams of Ketchikan, Alaska; grand-nieces, Anastasia (Shane) Fairchild of Lewis Center, Ohio and Casey (fiancéeAndrew Bouwmeester) Williams of Hollywood Springs, California; grand-nephew, Gregory Williams, Jr. of Ketchikan, Alaska and dear family friends, the Wyatt family.
John was proceeded in death by his parents and nephew, Martin Williams
Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Following the visitation, a committal service will be conducted at 1:00pm at David's Cemetery where John will receive military honors.
