John Henry Collins, age 75, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on April 19, 2023. John was born on July 4, 1947 to the late Laura Collins in Dayton, Ohio.
Following graduation, John served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969. He was a landscaper by trade and was self-employed as well as working for landscaping companies.
John was predeceased by wife, Joy; mother, Laura; siblings: Paul, Eva, Owen and Charles. He is survived by sister Pat; nieces: Debbie, Kim (Denny) and Laura; nephews: Jeff (Darla), John Paul, Danny and Mark; great nieces: Christina and Jessica; great nephews: Jamie, Christopher, Aaron, Paul and Brett; great great nephew, Cody; as well as many other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Military honors will be held at the end of the visitation.
